Business Development and Sales Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Actively find leads and respond to clients or prospects on LinkedIn, email, and other relevant platforms
  • Develop and direct all sales activity by prioritizing and capturing significant new customers and growing revenues with existing customers
  • Achieve sales goals established by the company
  • Align net new partners in various vertical market/technology segments with the company
  • Participate in sales meetings to identify opportunities and high-growth sales accounts
  • Engage with large Prospects/Partners, working at the C-Level
  • Sell software development services, IT services, and software products to prospective customers, using solution selling sales concepts
  • Develop, identify, and qualify new business development opportunities through strategic prospecting planning
  • Establish and build strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation
  • Plan how to establish and maintain major account relationships and meet personal sales targets
  • Sell all of the company’s lines, where applicable, to partners and prospects to maximize revenue capture
  • Translate client needs into marketable service enhancements; work with management to design, implement and market new services and features to the company’s customers
  • Develop quantifiable value propositions to clients based on their individual needs and work to enhance and deliver meaningful data to clients so that they can better manage their budgets and capital assets
  • Promote the highest quality image of the company with employees, customers, vendors, and the community
  • Maintain awareness in the development of sound marketing strategies, monitor industry trends, attend conferences, and maintain focus on company growth objectives with a goal of maintaining/achieving a superior position in the industry
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitors’ product lines available
  • Respond to customer inquiries on technical issues by getting answers to technical questions from the company’s Technical Support when available

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales/business development in the software development services industry
  • Experience using sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar
  • Experience developing sales/marketing plans and materials
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-focused and possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have public speaking and persuasion skills
  • Experience in taking online meetings and demos with offshore clients
  • Ability to respond to clients or prospects on LinkedIn, email, and other relevant platforms
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
